Barbara Sarasola-Day was born in Argentina and raised between Salta and Buenos Aires. She studied Communications at the University of Buenos Aires and Cinema in specialized courses in London, Barcelona and Buenos Aires. She directed the short film El canal (05). Deshora (13) is her first feature.
Set in the tobacco fields and high mountain jungles of Salta, Argentina, this immensely perceptive, acutely sensual film concerns a long-married husband and wife who receive an unexpected and tumultuous visit from an little known relative.
