In this atmospheric allegory from writer-director Marcela Said, a teenaged girl holidaying at a lake house in southern Chile experiences a bittersweet coming-of-age. Manena is confronted with disillusionment in love, and with her affluent family’s incoherent political views as a land dispute with the local Mapuche spills over into violence.
