Mark Kendall studied anthropology and Latin-American Studies at Vanderbilt University. He received his master’s in Social Documentary Film at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He previously directed the short The Time Machine (11). La camioneta (12) is his feature debut.
Decommissioned school buses leave the U.S. every day, heading southward to Guatemala, where they are repainted, repaired and repurposed for public transportation. This social study, documentary, adventure and travelogue follows one such bus from its Pennsylvanian origins toward an unforeseen destiny.
